LeisureWorld's Mended Hearts
Wednesday 21 September 2011
On Monday 19th September LeisureWorld’s “mended hearts” graduated from an 8 week Cardiac Rehabilitation programme.
Under the instruction of our accredited Phase IV Cardiac Rehabilitation Specialist, Shane Simcox, the 7 people referred to LeisureWorld by Cork University Hospital completed their programme in LeisureWorld Bishopstown.
Well done to: Ger Breen, Michael Carroll, John Murphy, Ted Duggan, Denis O’Connor, Noel Manning and Donna Coogan, who had completed Phase III cardiac Rehab in the hospital setting and progressed to stage IV in LeisureWorld.
LeisureWorld is delighted to be working in partnership with the HSE in providing support and advice for people in the community that have suffered from a cardiac (Heart) problem.
Gay Castle (HSE) commented that ‘the addition of a qualified Phase IV Cardiac Rehabilitation Instructor is a great opportunity for anyone recovering from a cardiac event to continue their recovery in a supervised and safe class designed especially for them’.
