LeisureWorld Churchfield promoting Irish Heart Week - September '09

'Walk for Heart' is the theme for Irish Heart Week '09, (21st - 27th Sept) which ends with Ireland's BIG Walk on World Heart Day, Sunday 27th of September.

Irish Heart Week is the Irish Heart Foundation's annual national heart awareness campaign and this year they aim to educate the public on the many health benefits of being regularly active and get people walking for theur hearts!

LeisueWorld Churchfield are helping to promote the 'Walk for Heart' campaign.

If contains two elements:

  1. A 4 week Walk or Step Challenge which peolpe can do on their own or with a group. People can begin this challenge on the date that suits them.
  2. Ireland's BIG Walk to mark World Heart Day on Sunday 27th September. The walk can take place on another date, if it suits better.
    LeisureWorld will be promoting the campaign with posters and flyers (registraton forms) and people can sign up themselves on the website www.irishheart.ie or you can recieve a Walk or Step Challenge card (without registering) from our gym instructors.
