LeisureWorld Number 1 in Health & Safety AGAIN ……………
Cork City’s LeisureWorld has again won a National Irish Safety Organsiation award for the second consecutive year.
LeisureWorld was the first Leisure Centre in Southern & Northern Ireland to apply for and receive the health & safety during 2008 in the 20 year life span of the National Irish Safety Organisation.
LeisureWorld were delighted to be in the top 30% of national companies winning an award, with over 100 companies receiving award recognition at the NISO Annual conference in Castlebar, Co Mayo on the 24th Sept 2009.
Christine Moloney, CEO of LeisureWorld proudly collected the hugely significant safety award on behalf of the team at LeisureWorld. The CEO stated “We were delighted to receive the award the first year but two years in a row clearly indicates the focus and importance of health & safety in our environment. My people that deliver the safety procedures are hugely proactive and customer safety is their number one priority”.
LeisureWorld employs over 100 people and offers health & fitness services within the Leisure Centre & golf course environment to approximately 20,000 ofCork’s public weekly over 5 sites withinCorkCity.
NISO is a voluntary body dedicated to the promotion of health & safety in the Irish workplace.
