O2 Ability Awards 2010 awards announced!!
LeisureWorld Cork listed 1 of top 3 Companies in Ireland for
- Learning, Development and Progression.
The O2 Ability Awards 2010 were held last Wednesday evening at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, Dublin.
The O2 Ability Awards are significant to those companies who promote inclusions for people with disabilities.
Over 100 companies participated in the Awards programme, which recognises organisations that champion the ability and value of employees and customers with a disability. Out of those who participated only 38 were shortlisted.
There were six categories and 15 companies were shortlisted to receive the award for each category.
LeisureWorld Cork was announced as one the top 3 companies in Ireland in the Learning, Development and Progression category and proudly received the status of Ability Company.
LeisureWorld CEO, Christine Moloney comments:
“We are truly delighted to receive a national award and recognition on a national platform rewarding my team for our approach and care for our community. This award is a true testament to the effort and commitment of the LeisureWorld culture to make a difference. The O2 Ability has a noble purpose and it is a fantastic award for the team at LeisureWorld. “

We now have Halliwick Swimming Programmes for customers with disabilities to enable them to gain confidence in the water and we have our very own Halliwick Instructor carrying out these one to one lessons.
